An evening that celebrated the company's history.
On the eve of the grand opening of the new Hug Baustoffe site in Elsau, an exclusive event was held for customers, partners, personalities from politics and business as well as employees. Thanks to the sophisticated lighting concept, the functional concrete hall was transformed into an atmospheric event location. The guests were treated to first-class food and an entertaining program.
Flying high
Trainee event specialist EFZ, Orion, reaches the right height to set the truss anchor points on the ceiling thanks to the HUG lifting platform. A large empty hall offers advantages, such as plenty of free space for development and straight lines. But sometimes it's also like a blank sheet of paper: you have to be creative and imaginative to create something new. The basis for our lighting creation was a ceiling construction made of trusses, to which the technicians could later attach sound boxes, spotlights and projectors.
All media under control
The two event operators meticulously ensured that the programme ran smoothly. They supported the speakers with their headsets and adhered to the schedule. Videos had to be played at the right time and at the right volume. At the same time, the rest of the hall had to be dark. Does the sound sound pleasant from every position? Can you hear every speaker equally well? - Dirk and Xaver had everything under control. From their position, they had a clear view of everything and, thanks to the control room panelling, were not a nuisance to the guests. We separated the catering area at the back of the hall with a practical curtain, which preserved the ambience and still provided clear walkways for the many waiters. They quickly brought in delicious dishes from the four-course menu and sweet wine.
Salzgeber & Co.
The stage with its printed stretched frame and lectern was the centre of the event. This was a place for storytelling, wit and reminiscing. Small gifts of salt on the guests' tables were not only fitting for the inauguration, but also for the stage presenter: the well-known Swiss presenter and sports commentator, Rainer Maria Salzgeber, guided the guests through the evening with humorous video sequences, anecdotes and interviews. He was joined on stage by key players such as Zurich's Finance Director Ernst Stocker, Elsau's Mayor Daniel Schmied and, of course, the architects of the new building.
Play of lights in the CD
Anyone who has ever furnished a room themselves or looked in the mirror in the morning knows - the right light changes everything. The play of light, which was projected onto the walls with spotlights, not only formed a pleasantly warm contrast to the grey walls of the hall, but also perfectly matched the HUG colours - orange and white. Projectors projected matching graphics onto the wall to complete the design.
